Profit, People, Planet

What exactly is sustainability?

In a general sense, sustainability refers to the maintaining or supporting of a process continuously over time. More specifically in business and policy contexts, sustainability seeks to prevent the exhaustion of natural and/or physical resources, so that they will remain available for the long term.

What are the three principles of sustainability?

In essence, the principles of sustainability are in fact the very foundations of what this concept represents. Therefore, sustainability is made up of three pillars: the economy, society, and the environment…or as they are informally used: profit, people and planet.
