Greenpeace - Plastic reducing campaign

Greenpeace, the international campaigning network whose goal is to "ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity” is composed of 26 independent organisations in over 55 countries around the world.

The network has recently began a new campaign which urges supermarkets to take responsibility for the amount of throwaway packaging they produce and agree to substantially reduce the amount. Unless we take action now, the problem will only get worse with hundreds of thousands more whales, dolphins, turtles and other marine animals becoming injured or killed by plastic waste.

Due to public pressure, Sainsbury’s and Aldi have pledged to reduce their plastic consumption 50% by 2025. However, Greenpeace urges that change isn’t happening fast enough, as it is estimated that the amount of plastic in our oceans is set to treble by 2040.

At Luxe To Kill we always strive to do our best to promote change in others and work towards saving our planet. Since teaming up with SR Mailing, over 80% of our product packaging is now made from recyclable or re-used materials, helping us to inspire change with every parcel that we send.
