Monday Muse: Emma Watson

This Monday, we take a look at the ultimate woman that is Emma Watson. With Miss Watson, our musing goes well beyond fashion, she is the ultimate role-model for any young lady. Following on from her wizarding wonders starring in the Harry Potter franchise, Watson split her time between working on new film projects and continuing her education, graduating from Brown with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. Away from acting, her modelling work has included campaigns for Burberry and Lancôme while in 2014, she won the BAFTA award for British Artist of the Year. That same year, she was appointed as a UN WomenGoodwill Ambassador and helped launch the UN Women campaign HeForShe, furthering her status as a role-model for young women globally.

The lady we once knew as the fiery red haired Hermione, is now one of the classiest ladies in Britain, known infamously for gracing the red carpets in six inch heels and couture gowns. A true English rose, there is something about Emma Watson both on film and in photographs that just emanates class; a sort of lovely, glowing elegance that is hard to find. Watson is a lady of many accomplishments, and it’s no surprise that she has recently been named the World’s most Outstanding Woman. She has been cast as a Disney Princess for Beauty and the Beast (probably every girls dream right?!), graduated from an Ivy League school, and has launched a global gender equality movement for the United Nations called HeForShe. And sartorially she’s just as flawless, wearing suits, dresses, and LBD’s perfectly; GIRL POWER!

Let’s take a look at some of our favourite outfits by Miss Watson, and help you to create looks just as seamless.

Combining two of this season’s biggest trends, suede and sheer, this simply elegant look is just beautiful. And the best bit about it? Everyone can put together this outfit! Although we don’t stock a skirt exactly like Emma’s, we have the perfect shorter option which would look great with bare legs or patterned tights over the Autumn and Winter season; Wear with a black, sheer, draped shirt for a subtle hint of sexy. And don’t forget the essentials; black shoes The Candace heels feature a criss-cross effect just like Emma’s, and will perfectly polish any outfit in your wardrobe.

Black on black always works – it’s a fashion fact. Create an ensemble just like Emma’s, beginning with this black Paper Trail top by Keepsake; this fitted top is the perfect staple for both daytime and eveningwear, and seeing as it’s made from silky satin fabric, you’ll feel as good as you look. For the bottom part of your outfit, we adore these trousers by Lavish Alice Tapered trousers are back with a vengeance thanks to Watson, and these tailored pants feature a D-ring bet, front zip fastening and are produced from a beautiful, soft-woven fabric. Thank us later!

We love a good jumpsuit here at Runway 96, and we love Emma’s! Watson’s classy look is teamed up simply with a crimson red lip. For something similar with a deep V cut, look at the Winona Black Duvling Jumpsuit Speaking of guilty pleasures, another one of our favourites, new in this week from Finders Keepers, is this tan jumpsuit This very en vogue garment is an absolute show stopper, featuring a wide leg trouser and a fitted bodice in a mid-weight fabric.

Although the days of the LBD will live on forever, this season it’s all about the little red dress (especially now it’s nearly Christmas!). Be the Lady in Red, and take a look at our favourite LRD here at Runway 96 by Abyss by Abby This dress is the epitome of style, making sure you will be the centre of attention. Flowing fabrics and precision ensures the beauty of the female silhouettes shines through this dress. Team up with those criss cross heels once more. We told you they will work with everything!

This look is much more causal compared to Miss Watson’s usually attire, but still classy too. Elegance is thy name with our Upgrade You Coat This collarless, double breasted coat with a waist tie belt detail is the perfect jacket for those dress down days. Team up with a pair of Superga Sneakers like these, or for an even more fabulous look take a look at the metallic versions, and knock them dead!
